Your Help Makes All the Difference

As a nonprofit, charitable organization, Rose of Sharon Equestrian School is able to accomplish its mission of bringing the benefits of horses into the lives of individuals with disabilities through your help.

The generosity of time, talent, and treasure from our surrounding community makes all the difference in our ability to keep the barn doors open for students ages 2 to 102! To continue providing profoundly impactful programs and services, ROSES relies on volunteers, individual donations, grants, fundraising events, corporate citizenship, as well as minimal fees for service.

Our volunteers, donors, and board members consistently report how helping with our students, horses. amd behind-the-scenes operations has enhanced their own lives!

Thanks, We Needed That

Donations are vital to the ongoing operations and expansion of the services at ROSES. Our waiting list continues to grow, and the stories tug at a heart. Your generosity helps keep our horses healthy for the work they do. Donations allow more individuals to access the benefits those horses provide. While ROSES is primarily a volunteer-based organization, donations help us add professional instructors, therapists, and essential team-members.

As a registered 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with the IRS, Rose of Sharon Equestrian School is committed to organizational transparency. You can find more information about us by going to Guide Star. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help provide a stable place in a challenging world® for people with disabilites.

Lend a Hand

If you have a heart for helping humans and horses, we need you. While experience with horses and/or people with disabilities is a bonus, it is not required. What is required is the availability to attend volunteer training as well as the willingness to honor a weekly commitment to a student.

ROSES has service-learning and internship opportunities for students seeking field experiences at both the high school and college level. Retirees often find ways to apply their work experiences and professional skills to benefit ROSES’ programs. Scouts and corporate teams enjoy helping ROSES as a way to give back to our community.
